Sizing and Fit

What size sandal should I order?

If this is your first time buying European sizes, you may feel like you are in between sizes.  If you are in between sizes, we recommend sizing up.  So, if you are a US9 and are choosing between a 39 or 40, we would recommend the 40.

How do I know if the sandal fits properly?
When you receive your order, the sandals are pre-adjusted.  You can just slip them on and pull the back strap around the back of your ankle.

Make sure that the back ankle straps keep your foot securely in place while you walk.  You can tighten the fit with the buckle if needed.  A secure fit around your ankle while you walk is the best indication of the correct size.  We recommend wearing the sandals around your house first to see if the fit is right for you.

Placing an Order

How will I know if I placed my order successfully?
After clicking “Complete Order”, you will be directed to a confirmation screen that displays your order number. A confirmation e-mail will follow with a summary of your order.  If you are having trouble placing an order, contact our customer support team and we will arrange to help you place your order.

Can I make changes to or cancel my online order once it has been placed?
Most orders are shipped within 24 hours of being confirmed. If you wish to change or cancel an order before it ships, please e-mail us or call a Customer Service representative as soon as possible to make the necessary changes. 

How will I know when my order ships?
Most orders will ship within 24 hours, but please allow 1-3 business days for processing. We will send a shipping confirmation via e-mail containing all of the information you will need to track your package.

I haven't received my order/shipping confirmation, what should I do?
If you haven't received an email confirmation yet, please contact us and we will help update you on your order status.

Will I be charged sales tax on my order?
You will only be charged sales tax if you live in the state of New York, since we have retail locations in New York. If you reside in any other state you will NOT be charged sales tax.

Do you offer any discounts or sales?
We built our brand on fair pricing, which is why we don't have any sales or discounts. Our sandals are always offered at the lowest price attainable.  That said, sometimes we have lightly worn pairs on hand that we can offer at a discount. Please reach out to us by email if you are interested in our product, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Shipping Options

What shipping options can I choose from? And how long will it take to get my order?
Standard shipping is free anywhere within the contiguous United States. If you are within the contiguous US, please select the free option at checkout.  We ship from New York.  Orders will usually arrive within 3-10 business days.
 
We also offer UPS Ground if you need your order quicker.  You can upgrade to ground shipping at checkout for an additional fee of $10.  UPS Ground orders will usually arrive within 1-5 business days. 

Do you ship outside of the contiguous United States?
We sure do! Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico are charged a flat rate of $10, and shipped via an economy shipping method with a delivery window of 1-4 weeks.

Do you ship to military addresses?
Absolutely! Shipments to military addresses are charged a flat rate of $10, and shipped via an economy shipping method with a delivery window of 1-4 weeks.

Do you offer International Shipping?
You know it! International shipments are charged a flat rate of $20 and shipped via USPS Priority Mail International, with the recipient responsible for applicable taxes and duties. International shipments typically take at least 1-4 weeks to arrive.

Returns & Exchanges

Do you offer returns and exchanges?
We want you to be happy with your purchase from Davka Sandals.  So, if you've ordered the wrong size or have any other issue, you can always exchange or return your order for free within the contiguous United States, so long as:

  • Your items are unworn, undamaged, in re-sellable condition, (i.e. no creases or wear on soles), and in their original packaging.
  • Your return request is submitted within 14 days of receiving your original order.

How do returns outside of the contiguous United States work?
We’re grateful for our customers all over the world! However, at the moment we cannot offer free international exchanges or returns. All customers outside of the contiguous United States are responsible for return shipping fees.

Why Davka?

Davka. This is what we do.  We source the finest materials, utilize traditional craftsmanship, invest in ethical business practices, and offer an incredibly comfortable, stylish product at an affordable price.  Why expect anything less. 

Where are your sandals made?
We have partnered with a family owned shoe manufacturer based in Verona, Italy. Founded over thirty years ago by a father and his sons, today their company employs over 1,200 workers in both Italy and Bosnia. 

Each artisan is personally trained and closely supervised by the founders, who are truly passionate about their craft. Working directly with this highly experienced team has allowed us to see their ethical business practices for ourselves. Their supply chain is fully integrated. All materials and components are sourced from Italy and brought to their own factory in Bosnia. All workers are paid fair wages and have safe working conditions. We are proud to work with an organization which upholds high standards of conditions and quality.

What do you mean by fair pricing?  

In today’s increasingly interconnected and global marketplace, traditional retail methods are being challenged. The internet has enabled innovative companies to reach out directly to you, the customer, to support new products that speak to your needs.

Comparable leather sandals retail upwards of $200.  For approximately half the price, your Davkas include the patented Noene undersole (a separate $35 retail value)!

Funds typically designated for marketing and other retail overhead expenses have been invested directly into our revolutionary product.  This way we maintain the highest standards of quality while offering an uniquely affordable price point.
